It's what I call "The Attention Grabber", depending on how you tie it anyway. The bigger/broader/wider way it looks on ur head, the more attention you get. This particular piece of fashion has been around (esp in Nigeria) for ages, and it doesnt seem like its ever gonna fade. It's moved with wateva twists and turns pertaining to fashion, yet, its still standing. It is as serious as pple turning "Gele tying" into a profession, plus its selling big time..esp here in the US.
