South Africa mourns the death of one of her own, Lucky Dube, who was murdered in an attempted car-jacking in Rosenttenville, Johannesburg on the 18th October, whilst dropping his children off at a relative's house.
South African born, but globally loved and revered, Dube was a frontline artist in the reggae genre. He had so many songs, ranging from his anti-apartheid anthems like "Slave", "Prisoner", to some spiritual ones like "Jah Live", "Reggae Strong"; among many others. His music is said to have touched millions around the world.
He is survived by a wife and seven children.
