Am i d only person who didnt hear/hasnt heard bout these guys? Damn!!...dis info passed mi...like how did that happen?...quite unusual...
I was askn my friend for naija movies and randomly, she was like have i heard the olori oko song?...i was like olori oko....like wat d hell....she was like aiight chill....jen kin play orin no fun e (lemme play the song for u)......she did...nd i was stunned!!....
She was like dis guys got an award for the song now....haba...as in..d song is that good...
anyway, i did my own research on the song and the infinity group as well...what did i find out?
The song, olori oko, has become a national anthem (or so i read) in naija, amongst the old and young.......it also topped the Nigerian Music charts for months (probably, it still is).....
About the concept of the song?....."Olori Oko si bo" literarily means "Christ is coming back"...(hopefully i got d translation right....lol).....and thats what the infinity guys are trying to potray via their song....
About the group itself?...Infinity is a xtian group, which consists of five guys: David Akintayo Thomas, Kehinde Akinbode, Samson Nwagwu, Joseph Okogun and Sunny Steven; with sensational voices/talent. In addition to that, they happen to be educated. David is a Theartre Art Undergrad at the University of Lagos. Samson and Joseph are studying Industrial Relations and Personal Management at the Lagos State University. Sunny and kehinde are into sound engineering . Kehinde is also a producer and a writer. He writes scripts for movies.
So, about the song that earned them the much deserved popularity and the best video award at the recently held Nigeria Music Award, I say "IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH LISTENING TO"...
Have a FABULOUS week....
